Operational Considerations

Air Freight

  • Passenger aircraft restrictions differ from cargo aircraft restrictions

  • Some dangerous goods are accepted only on freighter aircraft

  • Final acceptance occurs at cargo tender stage

 

Sea Freight

  • IMDG segregation rules apply inside containers and vessel stowage

  • Temperature-sensitive DG cargo may require reefer monitoring

Road Freight

  • Tunnel restrictions may apply

Packaging & Handling Notes

  • Damaged DG cargo may be rejected

  • Leakage, contamination, or undeclared DG cargo may result in fines and/or cargo destruction

  • Non-stackable or oversized DG cargo may incur additional operational charges

  • Drums and cylinders may require special handling depending on carrier acceptance policy
